Today February 3, 3019 we are going to utilize social media, in particular, Facebook to save a dying craft skill. From the moment I saw the Balinese lace known as bordier, I could not untangle its beauty from my thoughts. The art in the sketch, and the application to paper.
Together with an artisan named Putu I am training in the art of Balinese bordier lace, so that we can revive this lovely art. Foundation training was already established during my 3-years on the island.
Here I stand equipped with hands to a needle with a bit of string. Come along as we sew toward the reality we wish to love in this world.
