Silly Games

Strange dance we play with what we want. We fail ourselves miserably looking to appease the worry of others. What we miss is that worry is a perpetual hunger never to be satisfied. Changing others is an empty mission. Others will always be as they have always been, outside of our control. Yes perhaps we influence, inspire and innovate. Though we the individual must be the one to take our choice.

You cannot expect others to activate and engage with your inner world. You have to trust that where you walk is ‘right’. Accepting and choosing the path of others will leave you feeling frustrated. In that justification you question yourself when all along you should have been listening to the you that is raw. Unfiltered and brash. Egg shells break, but it doesn’t mean that we must walk on them.

It is hard changing dynamics. Not only hard, but painful. Really the worst kind. To stand up for what you believe in is rarely accepted with delight. Usually it involves shouting and scales flaring up. We are stronger than we can imagine and if we can latch down the tarp and hold first to resilience the storms always pass and the seagull takes flight for light.

I was advised not to get this car.

Not to drive cross-country…’you are a girl, it is dangerous, its cheaper to fly, what if something happens….’

Met my friend Di at the last leg of the 40+ hours of cross country driving.

Was inspired by an amazing ultra runner.  You know what the drive was one of the best experiences of my life.
