One Student

Many of my ‘brilliant ideas’ have totally flopped. How many opportunities are cut too soon? What if we just kept up with our failures? Learning and reshaping the model to a working prototype. Testing and trialling until we get it just right. Achievement comes from making mistakes over and over until we find solutions.

As we prepare two workshops: one for young girls and another for adults in Fashion Business, our promotion of the events has been held up for various reasons which for certain will reflect in attendance. Today I thought to cancel the workshop for girls as it may not be worth it, but then I realized that if I have one student that will be enough. Starting with one is enough to learn from the process.

We must continue to move our dreams forward regardless of the size of the impact. Baby steps add up to a vast distance if taken often and with passion. Standing still in disappointment leaves you moving absolutely no where beyond running wild in your mind. Don’t allow setbacks and false expectations keep you from your true potential. Give it time and be kind to yourself. It will work out if you are patient and resilient.

I have this dream of creating an American Fashion Museum & School modeled from the Victorian styled doll house.

When I was a little girl arts and crafts was such a treat and an escape into a world of imagination. I would like to share this experience.
