Self-Belief

When venturing out into a new place we sometimes feel a bit uncertain. At the start of writing my blog I didn’t know what the heck I was doing. I still don’t really, but words of encouragment pushed me along my way. This is the first message I received, ‘Hi Stacy! Keep on blogging, you’ve got talent! Hope everything is well with you and that your business project is going forward. We’re thinking of you. I think your success comes from the purity of what you write. You are (quite?!) honest about everything and I think thats what makes people interested. The essence of your success is maybe thats its “naked” if you understand what I mean? Hugs from all of us in a sunny Sweden with 25C’.

What if we turn around too soon because we do not believe in ourselves. Well I learned in business school that the market will decide if your idea is good or not. But as I moved forward I shifted away from the market and thought more about what is my message. What do I sense adds value to my life and potentially to the lives of those I engage with and that brought me to one word ‘authenticity’. To embrace the true nature of the self.

I am not sure where this road will take me but for the first chapter it has closed into the compilation of my first book. Will I write another maybe, will I go back to Bali yes, will I…? Who knows life changes constantly with things that are within and also outside our control. I keep moving forward but this time without the original flight approach. Now I go to the things and places that bring me joy. I have reached the mountain top of my dream. I am a fashion designer, an author…I can be anything my heart desires but that starts from a place of inner knowing.

I have finally blossomed into a woman I admire. Not for what I have accomplished but for who I am in the heart of my soul.
