Happiness Anywhere

I went all the way to paradise and found that misery is not afraid of a sunburn. I have decided to begin an experiment on myself. One that entails actively practicing all the lessons I have learned along my journey to my dreams. I propose that one can be happy anywhere. It does not require escaping ones reality to do so.

All my life I have experienced oscillating moods with reactive consequences leaving me at various ultimate lows. Many such behaviors were adaptive for childhood experiential survival, but they now cause me continuous turmoil. I over compensate in all areas to overcome a sense of unworthiness. I am aware of how silly that appears. I have been blessed with far too much.

The reality is that in order for my life to change, I must change. Time to put it out there my guilty vises that keep me from accepting all that is. We begin this new chapter, lets call it ‘happiness journey’ today. Day 1 I woke early with a morning fitness exercise and a yoga practice. Followed by an extra 20 minute sleep after I had showered and dressed. Midday when I was completely overwhelmed with an exam, I stopped everything looked out the window and began a beach meditation to calm my nerves. My mission now is to carry paradise anywhere, everywhere all the time. Paradise is not a place it is a state of mind.
