Hometown Baltimore

After lectures I walked to the train in the art district of Baltimore and I felt an excitement to be home.  The moon glowed in the night sky while I peered into new art cafes and historic buildings. Its funny how we think we have this master plan and then life throws us a curve ball that leaves all thoughts behind.

In the past it shook me and I guess it still does this unpredictable realignment of one’s life. I was rather nervous in making the choice to stay in the states longer and go back to school. Standing at the fork in the road and choosing the path that others would leave behind is a frightening process.

But today I know this journey I walk is my own and the only person that tips the scale is the one I love the most. It is sometimes hard to dance to your style of music or maybe even write the music you dance to but this is the way to your authentic self. The rest is just for show and to please those who really do not know. Be brave and refine your path, so when you look back your quest will never be in doubt. Enjoy speed bumps for they may catapult you to achieve new heights.
