While on my way to visit the book launch location I found this beautiful space available for rent on antique row in Baltimore’s art district. When I set up an appointment to visit it was perfect. Exactly as I had imagined the showroom, workshop and research segment of my work in the USA.
I had a set time in my mind to launch the space for April 2015. But then when the landlord said that it would have to be rented out this month. He already had an application about to be processed. I scrambled to make an adjusted plan to move everything ahead 3 months.
But when I woke this morning I realized that timing is everything. Sometimes we need to just let time be the wedge to separate us from a decision made too soon. I messaged the landlord and retracted my interest. By trying to force something that isn’t meant to be, we cause ourselves unnecessary pain. I am certain that I will be cutting the ribbon on the Elsa Fitzgerald Art Village and Education Hub when the time is right. For now I will let go and let God, I am sure he will provide something even better than I could have ever imagine. I wouldn’t want to sell myself short on blessings.
