Clutter Free

While taking my sister to the airport, I realised how much I hold onto physically and mentally. She returned from the check-in desk with her carry-on luggage, which she had to leave with me here in Bali, as it was way over the weight limit.

In life, it can be stressful to carry so many things. We’re all guilty of it, but since my birthday I have been working towards living lighter. About a month ago, I cleared out my closet and made a weighty clothes donation to the orphanage. Among the donation were many things I’d forgotten I’d buried away.

I think it is again time to re-evaluate the things I store behind my closet doors, and let go of the things that no longer serve me – physically, mentally and spiritually.

I am coming face-to-face with letting things go, and this process takes time and constant attention. However, I can take comfort in the fact that, soon I will have a clutter-free house and mind once more.
