Be Here

When I planned this climb I wanted to use it for a time of reflection and future dreaming. There were no musings but only one message that will stay with me forever. ‘Be here now’!

We are always so caught up in the past or the future that we struggle to be present. Every time I attempted to look up or behind I lost my balance and/or footing.
The entire way was a fight and very steep. The biggest challenge to my surprise was the way down. My legs like Jello and my knees felt as if they were going to give. But for each step I prepared to take I told myself ‘be here now’. Walk with awareness and you will not fall.
