How I Made My Dreams Come True

Well it all starts with a dream!  The problem for most people is that we allow our circumstances to dictate our options.  We try to fit our dreams into the small box that our life exists in now.  What if you could shatter that box and look at the world and your life with limitless possibilities?

Look up at the blue sky and dream of the most amazing life you could imagine! What would you be doing and where would you be?  Begin to write these thoughts down in a special journal.  I don’t mean what job would you have and how would you make money.  Sometimes we start with that point and put ourselves back into the box.

I started by thinking where would I love to live and what would it feel like.  So I imagined myself on the beach in Bali walking with someone special and just enjoying my life there.  I saw myself exercising on the beach, eating colourful fruits and laughing constantly.

Once I committed that thought in my mind then I began sending love and energy in that direction.  I ended up going there on holiday.  Soaking in all that the island had to offer and my love for it grew even more.  But how would I bring about a reality where my work and personal life could be successful in Bali…it is after all a resort island.  And I wasn’t willing to sacrifice my career and dreams of setting up my fashion company.

When I committed to this dream the Universe gave me the answer!  I found my solution, which began with the fashion sourcing agency.  In the depths of my heart I have always wanted to be a fashion designer.  Despite all the business courses and work experience, all I have ever wanted to do is play with fabrics and make beautiful dresses.  I thought that option was going to have to be to the side again.  But the longing in my heart has been heard and now I am indeed a ‘fashion designer’.  I am making my collections, while sorting out client work.

Every aspect of my life is complete!  I knew back in January 2013 that this would be the year that all my dreams were coming true.  But I didn’t realise how much so!  I committed my mind and my life to change.  The end of 2012 I felt accomplished yet unfulfilled in some important aspects of my life.  I felt like I was a fish in a small tank encased with a glass lid.  I kept struggling in this tank to push the boundaries and make my life what I wanted but I became tired and was running out of energy and life.

It was only with focus that I saw the little opening in one side of the tank.  I didn’t know how long I could breath out of the water, but like the salmon I fought to make the leap out of the restrictive tank and found my place in the world.

I live in the ocean now where there is so much to explore and experience!  A dream doesn’t just fall into your lap, you have to go out there and fight for what you want your life to become.  You do this with a strong mind, determination and heart full of love.  Its never too late!  Start now…
