Sometimes in the west we are consumed with accumulating wealth and material things that we forget what it means to give.
The Balinese way is to share what you have no matter how little. If you eat you welcome those around you to join. You offer a portion of your plate.
The cycle of giving is continuous and ever flowing. I know my time is a scarce resource, but a day spent teaching orphans English touched my heart.
The lesson went on from 1pm-4pm. I expected the kids to get restless and bored but all they wanted to do was learn.
Really happy to be reminded to keep life light through giving. Make time today to give, any form of giving is a blessing. Even a big smile at a stranger can go a long way! Smiles are contagious.
