Our Two Faces

We all have two faces: one is loving, kind and generous and then the other is impatient, fearful and selfish.

Someone once said that everyone always looks happy on Facebook. As we all know that is not always the case.

I’ve been told that I am so peppy and optimistic, but those close to me know I struggle just like everyone else.
Everyday even in paradise I have two doors to choose when faced with uncertainty and challenges. I can walk through the door of love and patience or I can stumble through the entrance of anger and frustration.

I am not someone to aspire to as I am an obsessive workaholic that doesn’t know how to relax.  But what I can say is that I have learned to choose the face of love and kindness more often then the other.

I do this by not feeding her with negativity from myself or others.  Instead of engaging in that negative thought, I flip it around and create the best case scenario in my mind.  I begin to feel it as reality now and get excited and joyful.  This is not an easy skill to master, but in time and with practise it is completely possible.
